Goals: Bring eleven IDEX partners in Bangladesh, India, the Philippines, Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Zimbabwe together through a common network of information exchange using communication technology.
The “Information Sharing through Communication and Technology for Social Change” project is providing Internet access for partners not yet connected, setting up a partner list server, addressing hardware needs, and supporting training and skills building. Through regional conferences the project is also assessing partners’ information technology needs, promoting a sharing of experiences and information exchange, and conducting content management workshops. IDEX is also developing two case studies around specific information exchange issues.
