Nepal Computer Lab Pilot Project
Funding Amount: $30,000
This pilot project established computer labs in 6 schools in Nepal through a competetive challenge grant process and implemented a teacher training program to support the labs. An evaluation study of the project enabled local educational authorities to replicate labs and the curriculum in other schools. The project led to the development of a strategic plan for further sustainable Room to Read Technology Programs in Nepal and Vietnam designed to meet local needs, exchange expertise, and create a lasting impact on the education system through the use of ICTs.
